• Fundamentals of oral anatomy and dental procedures
• Essential skills for chairside dental assisting
• Proper handling and maintenance of dental equipment and materials
• Disease transmission and infection prevention
• Principles of instrument processing and sterilization
• Clinical hands-on experience
• X-ray techniques and radiation safety training
• Job placement assistance
• Scrub uniforms

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a resident of Santa Clara County, San Benito County, or Santa Cruz County
• Must be 18 years of age or older and interested in securing meaningful employment with opportunities for economic growth
• Must be able to provide a U.S. high school diploma or GED or equivalency with translation
• Must have a valid authorization to work in the United States, such as U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or an employment authorization card
• Must be available to attend all sessions of the program
• Must provide 3 volunteer patients for X-Ray licensure exam
• Must provide proof of up-to-date childhood immunizations
• Must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination and a current booster
