Spanning 160 hours over four weeks, this program covers the essentials of construction and electrical work, preparing participants for employment as certified Electrical Trainees in California. Through a blend of technical training and career readiness workshops, participants emerge ready to contribute to the workforce with confidence and competence.

Certifications Earned

Graduates of the program will earn several sought-after certifications, including:

  • OSHA 10: Safety training for workplace hazard awareness.
  • NCCER Construction Core Certification: Recognized foundational credential in construction.
  • ABC NorCal Pre-Apprenticeship Certification: Gateway to employment through ABC NorCal.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification: Vital life-saving skills.
  • Electrical Trainee Card (State of CA): A legal requirement for employment by a C10 contractor in California.

  • Workplace Conduct Training: Addressing sexual harassment and substance abuse awareness.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to participate in the program:

  • Age: 18 or older.
  • Employment Status: Currently unemployed or underemployed.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and write in English.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation to the training site.
  • Work Eligibility: Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Assessments: Pass pre-assessment in basic computer literacy, math skills, and measurements.
  • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for 6–8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
Participants must also commit to attending:
  • Mandatory Orientation before the session start date.
  • Mandatory Career Readiness Workshops to prepare for employment opportunities.
